Several years ago this post was made, discussing the exposures HOPCC children are subjected to. Circumstances have urged us to revisit this topic.
The Abuse Happening in HOPCC Cult
Liberty County Crime has updated Facebook World on Bernadel Semexant's September 11, 2024, arrest with his mugshot and felony charges included (2 counts of aggravated child molestation, 1 count of child molestation, and 1 count of statutory rape). Many members of the HOPCC cult are being told that Semexant will be going to the Killeen, Texas campus upon his release. Considering the charges he is facing, it is doubtful that he will be able to leave the state any time soon. Here is the link to Liberty County Crime's Facebook post (https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=929008099248219&id=100064171118699&mibextid=qi2Omg&rdid=ixIlbHiawGnI0kMD).
In all of this, we have to ask ourselves why cases like Semexant's inside HOPCC are not reported to authorities... They seemed to be more concerned about maintaining an image rather than the safety and well-being of the children that have been affected. This isn't just a one-time occurrence inside of HOPCC. Let's review....
Steven Atwell- Sentenced to 260 years in Prison
Steven Atwell was charged with "20 counts of aggravated child molestation in connection with incidents against three children over a 10-year period" (Levine, 2007). This was a case that Denis was well aware of, and his only course of action was threatening to kick him out of the church if he didn't stop?! NO!!! Go to the police! Help those children!
Usually, Denis, like many narcissists, deflects his own dirt by accusing others of things that he has often brought up in perverted conversations. Now, those who are truly guilty, he keeps them around....perhaps because he now has something against them that he can use to manipulate and control them? I think we are cutting pretty close to the bone in our speculation. Let's look at a more recent case...
Pedro Trejo-Morales
Here is another HOPCC member who had a recent arrest record posted on the Liberty County Crime Facebook page. The post does not outright say his charges other than "Special Presentment Bench Warrant." After digging into public court records, we found that an indictment was filed on February 20, 2024, against Pedro for 1 count of "sexual battery against a child under 16 years of age."
On August 22, 2024, a "special presentment bench warrant" was filed with the court. Court documents state that the defendant was going to jail to be fingerprinted. His case is still open and pending trial before a criminal jury on September 26, 2024. You can find information about this case at https://peachcourt.com/. Could it be some sort of strategy in pushing this man to get married?
Here is another question... Do you know why we are only mentioning these cases???
These are the cases that have documented trials and convictions. How many more are happening that have not been reported and continue to fly under the radar??? These occurrences should urge anyone to look deeper into these forced and arranged marriages amongst those newly-turned 18-year-olds. How many are now waiting for their 18th birthday to be married off???
Notorious Cult Crimes
With HOPCC unraveling before our eyes, I'm reminded of the similarities to other cult leaders who have been brought down. Isn't it strange how much of the same crime is going on from one cult to the next. What is it about the cult atmosphere that breeds such criminality?
Keith Ranier (Founder of NXIVM Cult)
Raniere was convicted of racketeering on the charges of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation of a child, attempted sex trafficking, identity theft, forced labor, conspiracy to alter records, conspiracy of sex trafficking, racketeering, and wire fraud. Raniere was sentenced to 120 years in federal prison starting in January 2021 (US Department of Justice, 2019).
I am reminded of the court document implicating Rony Denis among other HOPCC leaders detailing crimes of money laundering, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit both, which essentially fall under an umbrella called racketeering. With all the sex crimes involving children, HOPCC is treading familiar cult ground and has placed itself among the ranks of many infamous cult leaders who spend the rest of their days here on earth in prison.
Warren Jeffs (Former President of Fundamentalist Church of LDS
Jeffs was convicted in a Texas state court of child sex charges and sentenced to life plus 20 years. He is incarcerated at the Powledge state prison.
We could name quite a few more that all sing the same song as HOPCC cult. I cannot sincerely call it church, knowing how so many lives and families have been destroyed. Please pray for the children involved in this organization....and keep your eyes on the news folks.
Rony Denis (Founder of HOPCC)
"But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate morally weak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by [the burden of their] sins, easily swayed by various impulses, always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." (2 Timothy 3:1-7 Amplified)
