I’m sorry for the long post but I’m stirred up tonight, this dude. How dare you CJ start with that scripture Our Heavenly Father and have no conviction whatsoever?? When you pray was the title of the message and if you was really praying you would have known that Jesus told you to go and apologize to your family. You said those that left they didn’t pray but I beg to differ, they did pray and God opened their eyes and they made the decision to leave this filthy place. Are you really praying CJ?? You really need to pray for God to forgive you. Right now he’s not listening to you sir. You are in disobedience with God. You said, How many love the scriptures? and that includes honor your mother and your father. Do you love that scripture or do you skip over it because it brings conviction??? Instead of allowing God to speak to you, you brush it off, you kick against the pricks. Yes you have a heavenly father, but he’s not listening to you right now because you despise your earthly father and mother that he has given you here on this earth. God loves you and has given you a space to repent, but you have not done so. Oh sir, you best believe that he sees everything and knows everything and he sees you coming into town and you still have not gone to your parents and apologized to them for the way you have treated them. You want to give God what he likes, then start with the prayer of REPENTANCE!! Then go make it right with your parents and your brother before it’s too late. You better be careful what you pray sir. You said you want God’s kingdom to come quickly. Are you sure about that?? God is trying to do his will in your life but you are not letting him. You want God to give you a scripture to convict you??? He has already done that and you still don’t get it.
Exodus 20:12 Honor (respect, obey, care for) your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged in the land the Lord your God gives you. Until you do this sir you are out of the will of God. You are unjust with your parents. Examine yourself, don’t be a hypocrite, don’t be a reprobate. Yes CJ when you remember your trespasses is not hard to forgive their (your own parents) trespasses. It’s not hard to let go of that hatred you have towards them. This verse is about forgiveness.
Matthew 18:21 “Then Peter came to Him and asked, “Lord, how many times will my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered him, “I say to you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven.” CJ that bitterness you have against your parents is defiling you!!
Please forgive me if I sound bitter, I’m not, I just have a problem with people disrespecting their parents especially this young man here. His parents love him and are waiting for him with open arms but yet he trashes them knowing how much his parents love him especially his mom and he treats her like she’s trash. I’m most certain that a lot of us that were sitting there tonight that knows him and his parents very well would agree with me that what he is doing to them is not of God. They were in disgust themselves. God doesn’t put you against your own parents sir. How can you “teach” and “live” the scriptures but you hate your parents???? God have mercy upon this young man I pray.
Praying for you CJ.
Disrespectful actions of children, no matter their age, are abhorred by God
“Cursed is anyone who dishonors their father or mother.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
Deuteronomy 27:16 NIV
A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
Proverbs 15:20 NIV
“The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.
Proverbs 30:17 NIV
Wow son, what have you allowed Denis to turned you into??? We pray for you all the time. You know you got a home with us. I pray that God has mercy on you. Just like anonymous said, because we prayed, God got us out of that mess. We love you and you know how to find me if you need me.
The Excellence of Love
13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not [a]love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy [and speak a new message from God to the people], and understand all mysteries, and [possess] all knowledge; and if I have all [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love [reaching out to others], I am nothing. 3 If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body [b]to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all.
4 Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 5 It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. 7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].
8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete]. 10 But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. 13 And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.
1Corinthians 13 AMP
My heart really breaks 💔 for you son. If you would just put that hate and anger aside and begin to see what a blessing it is to have a family that loves you. I would never by God's grace disrespect my mother in any kind of way and trust me, I grew up in a different era. HOP tried that with us, for us to deny our parents but God would not allow it and I had enough conviction from God to always honor my mother no matter what. Son, you really need to read 1CORINTHIANS 13 The Excellence of Love Chapter. You can preach and teach against us all you want, until your face turns blue, but if you don't have Love in your heart, your words fall empty. Allow God to come into your heart again son. Always remember this, our breath it's in His very hand and He can close that hand whenever He chooses to. God forbid, I would hate to see you gone and in the presence of God and for Him to tell you depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you. God loves you so much son. Really study the scriptures and stop letting yourself be guided by a mere man.
Those that left didn't pray? Prayer is what got them out of there. Look at the mess hopcc is in now. I mean really. It wasn't long ago that Jimmy said that if you pray you don't need a lawyer. But in the last court filing I saw 3 lawyers listed to defend Jimmy and Co. So many conflicts of interest there. Anyway Jimmy did say that if you pray you don't need a lawyer. Hypocrite.
